5OutstandingJul 23, 2010
Other lubes I've used dry out quickly and require more and more, which is annoying. This stuff is great, slippery as all heck, lasts a long time as well. Their organic version is very sticky and drys out quickly. As far as clean up it. It does require a bit more effort, as in 30 seconds more. But that 30 seconds spent AFTERwards, not during re-applying less slippery lubes.

3Useful for water play but a pain to cleanJan 14, 2010
This is a nice lube for playing in the bath or shower, but it's not the best and it's hard to clean, off people, bathtubs, and the outside of the bottle. It does stay slick for a long, long time, but it also doesn't come off for a long, long time. And obviously, this is not to be used with silicone condoms or silicone-based toys.

But hey, particularly for the ladies, if you like to fool around in the shower or bath but find that all of your natural lube has been washed away by the water, this stuff helps a lot.

I do love that sliquid products are vegan, glycerin free and generally free from nasty chemicals. I'm happy to not worry about what's going into my body during sex.

1Ugh!Sep 05, 2009
First off, I will state that I am used to using products like Astroglide and KY Liquid/Gel (water based lubes). I got the Sliquid Silver silicone lubricant out of interest, because it was stated in other reviews that silicone lubricants last a very long time and are good for intimacy in the water. I was curious to see if it would live up to the claims....

First off, I am extremely disappointed with how quickly this stuff dries up, as in becomes ineffective and actually makes the situation worse. I do not know if it is this specific product or what, but it is WAY WORSE than water-based products in lasting lubrication. Also, it is EXTREMELY HARD TO CLEAN UP! I already knew silicone lubricants demand a lot of technique to clean up, but this is bad. Sex in the bathtub=indelible coating all over the tub, no matter how much it is scrubbed. You can't get the lube out of your nether regions, and it seems to leave a layer of substance on your genitalia. The messiness of this product is made worse by the poor packaging. It leaks, for one, and I cannot get the silicone off the stupid bottle now that it's there.

I would like to reiterate that I hate this stuff. Never in my life will I try silicone lubes again. Perhaps it is just this product, but I prefer not to even chance it. Water-based lubes can merely be re-applied without much fuss and can be easily cleaned up.

Maybe it's just me. I don't know. I don't know what I could have done wrong to have so many bad experiences with this crap....

5The best lube I've usedNov 29, 2005
I'm the first one to review this product. I suppose others aren't as willing to discuss such a personal product. But I love this lubricant and think that someone should explain why it is so great.

Firstly and most importantly, this lubricant is extremely slippery and condom safe. It also doesn't dry out or become sticky when used. This is a major problem with some other lubricants. It is well suited for vaginal and anal intercourse, and when used in small amounts can make the inside of the condom more comfortable for the male. It has no odor and very little taste.

Another great feature of this lube is that it doesn't contain glycerine or any carbohydrates. This might sound strange, but check the labels on most other lubricants and you'll find some type of sugary or sweet substance: dextrose, glycerine, cellulose polymer, etc. Because this lube doesn't have glycerine or carbohydrates it doesn't become sticky after prolonged use or break down when exposed to salivary enzymes. In my partners experience, sweetened lubes can promote vaginal infections and irritations, making this lube a wise choice for anyone with sensitivity to irritation or a propensity towards yeast infections or urinary tract infections.

Despite the lack of sweeteners, this lube has a pleasant mild taste. I wouldn't say that it's delicious, but at least it doesn't taste bad or cause oral numbness as some other lubes do. Some lubes also cause mild genital numbness. This one doesn't.

As far as I know, this lube has no spermicidal properties. You may consider this a drawback if you want such a quality, but to me this is a bonus, since spermacides can cause urinary tract irritation in both males and females.

I highly recommend this lubricant. Be sure that you buy the Sliquid Silver type. Sliquid's other lubes suffer from some of the aforementioned flaws.
